Purr Data v.2.20.1update on Linux Mint 22.1: more than 50% CPU load

Open joe-rouen opened this issue 6 months ago • 2 comments

Just updated Purr Data from v.2.20.0 to v.2.20.1 which went fine. But after launching the new version, Purr Data is eating more than 50% of my CPU resources:

  • nw: +/- 27%, 1st exe: +/- 13% and 2nd exe: +/- 12%,
  • mouse control is almost impossible (very jerky).

Quitting Purr Data still let +/- 27% CPU load. Had to kill (not to stop) the nw process to go back to normal CPU load (+/- few %s).

Thanks, Joseph

And also Pure Data engine seems still in v.0.48 and not in v.0.54 (compatibility or version?) as announced for Purr Data v.2.20.0.

In comparison Pd-L2Ork v.2025.05.01 (Flatpak) has a total CPU load of less than 6% with Pure Data engine v.0.55.0 and nw.js v.0.67.1.
