CLI doesn't support card trick

Users who receive cards can't input them when using the command line. (As I discovered after doing the card trick using the GUI).

This was deliberate. I liked the card-trick idea, but the general consensus appears to be that it's dumb. So, rather than adding it to the CLI, I think the task is to remove it from the GUI.

The card trick is actually pretty cool. (Though apparently it's not totally clear whether when I give someone cards, whether I need to set those cards as the shared secret or all of the other cards as shared secret).

It's a pretty cool function to have a second secret. But perhaps its better to just have space for a second secret, and people can use whatever mechanism they'd like. I play poker and am enamored by the idea of giving someone a small set of cards and a phrase (eg "Wild Bill" and the Dead Man's Hand).

I'd suggest removing the card trick from pond itself, but create a stand alone command-line or gui tool that produces a key, so that folks can use it for OtR, pond, etc.
