Option to plot histograms within log tracks

Maybe a nice add-on option, especially if we can flag / annotate data outside the standard plot range?

Perhaps the user would activate this by passing a list of booleans to an argument corresponding to the curves and tracks they want to turn this on for. For more than one curve, this will take some configuration. Probably better to append a new axis rather than plot two histograms in the same physical space (because they might have different axis dimensions and scales)
