Inform which lap was best lap

Not sure if that’s necessary all the time, but at least when you improve the best lap for a race, it would be great to know at which lap you did that.

the good old cronometer can be the solution. Trackmania is very straightforward with this:

• the clock sits in somewhere visible
• a checkpoint shows the time when it was reached
  • if it is a multilap, show a separate clock with the time relative to the current lap
  • if a ghost is in the race, or if you have a previous record, or if you're behind someone in a race, show the time difference for this checkpoint, comparing the times when each player has reached.
    • +{time} if you're behind, -{time} if you're ahead

also, just a text for "new best lap" showing for 3 seconds during the race can be enough to show best times in mid-race.

• make sure the text has a contrasting outline or background to keep it readable
• maybe showing the medal or text color to show as personal bests could be good.
