Add arm64 support to work on macOS

According to this comment, arm64 support for macOS should work as soon as it is possible to use lwjgl 3.3.0, which has been released.

  • Update libgdx and lwjgl
  • Find an M1 mac to test

Hi. I try to buil this for arm64 macOS but always failing. Any chance to add Universal app or Intel and Arm version o github page ?Thank you so much for help.

I plan to do the required update of libgdx for the next version, but it's still in my TODO list. Did you try to build without change or did you update libgdx version before?

Updating libgdx can be done by:

  1. changing this line
  2. fix any breakage caused by libgdx API changes (amount of breakage varies from version to version)

I am in the process of updating libgdx, but it won't be enough: from what I understand, arm64 macOS support requires libgdx 1.10.1, which has not been released yet. More worrying: I updated to 1.10.0 but had to revert to 1.9.14 because the game was freezing on my lo-spec test tablet.

I need to test the update on Windows and x86 macOS before merging it, but in all cases arm64 macOS won't be in 0.23.0. Bumping the milestone.
