Up arrow on first line and down arrow on last line

It would be nice if pressing the up arrow with the cursor on the top line moved the cursor to the beginning of the line and similarly the down arrow on last line moved the cursor to the end of the line.

Can be done indeed. Looks like it would be another TextEditExtension. Would you be interested in looking into it?
