I don't know how much additional effort it would take beyond the PPA, but I would find a Debian package useful. The relevant wnpp bug is here: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=774005
Are there plans to continue development of this program?

Browsing for opening file I see a bunch of this message: `(photoflow.exe:1840): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: 12:31:07.109: g_content_type_is_a: assertion 'type != NULL' failed`
Maybe I miss something. But I'm pretty sure it's 'pacman' instead of 'packman'
