AEX-2: network params when initializing `RpcAepp` stamp

Open marc0olo opened this issue 3 years ago • 3 comments

It seems like this was discussed a lot in the past.

@nikita-fuchs raised this several times and the main question is what is the purpose of providing network params (URL of node & compiler) when initializing the RpcAepp stamp. He also opened an issue in the AEX repo (https://github.com/aeternity/AEXs/issues/140) but I think this is sth. to discuss here.

@davidyuk following questions:

  1. Do these settings for initializing the RpcAepp stamp have any influence about what network the user is connected to IF there is an active connection to a wallet?
  2. Why do we need these settings when initializing the stamp? can we get rid of them?
  3. Is that AEX2 proposal what was actually implemented right now?

I am not sure what was the reason to do it. but the current status of AEX-2 is withdrawn and I personally don't understand why this is the case as we use and advertise the AEX-2 implementation as "the default" for establishing wallet connections.
