1) The visualization module has been ported to bctpy. Check under utils. Certain functions were changed since the matlab plot3D had no straightforward equivalent so I implemented it with mayavi....
Can you give more information about the issue you found, what are your inputs and did you use the `include_infinite=False` flag?
When I looked at this previously (I am not very familiar with the matplotlib codebase and was even less so a year ago), there appeared to be no real way...
