it would be to get some baseline numbers of the gateway to see enhancements affect the performance.

I'm really interested in trying this out WDYT about calculating overhead of the graphql-gw layer (estimating payload throughput in MB) and performance toll.

ideally we can get a 3 machine setup where the load tester, gateway, and upstream services are segregated so that they are not impacting each other's CPU usage. WDYM by 'testing this without service'?

Sounds like good plan! I will try to use docker/kubernetes with resource limits
