[MNT] Increasing PyPI package size

Describe the issue

The size of the package on PyPi has reached 50+ MB and is increasing bit-by-bit each release. We should consider finding ways to reduce this by excluding items currently included in the manifest which may be large i.e.

docs examples Consider removing some of the larger datasets

Suggest a potential alternative/fix

Exclude large and unnecessary files/file structures from the PyPi release.
