Kube-OVN IPv6 Support

Open insignia96 opened this issue 4 months ago • 3 comments

I am wondering if there is any plan in the future to support dual-stack Cozystack clusters? The Kube-OVN plugin upstream supports this, but it is patched out of the Cozystack version. One of the services that I am hosting on Cozystack is DNS, so it would be great to have dual-stack LoadBalancers for this purpose.

Hey, yeah, we plan to add IPv6 support. Unfortunately right now we have lack of development budget for that feature, we're looking for someone who'd like to sponsor this opportunity or make external contribution.

Let us know if you interested in such coloboration.

@kvaps Sounds good, I figured that might be the case. I can attempt to patch this into my cluster and see what works and what breaks as a starting point. If you all have any guidance on what you'd like to see in a PR let me know.

Yes, sure. Please check our developer's guide, you'll learn how to quickly test changes on the running cluster
