GitHub Banner Sometimes Appears While Swiping
GitHub advertisement banner is displayed within the application if the user has opened a GitHub link in the in-app browser before.
Device
- iPhone 12 Mini
- iOS 16.5.1
- Safari
Steps To Reproduce
- Launch wefwef
- Search for any post containing a GitHub link
- Click on the GitHub link which should open an embedded browser window
- Close the embedded browser window
- Swipe left slowly on any Post to hide it (the further left you swipe the more obvious the issue becomes). When you stop swiping the banner goes away.

Thanks for the report. This might be an iOS bug?
Apologies, I added the specifics to the ticket!
I have seen this on iOS, most recently on the community [email protected], on the sidebar, there is a hyperlink to wikipedia. Sometimes, and this may be cache related, I will see the Github app overlay at the top quickly as the wikipedia page renders and then it disappears. Going to another external link in the built in browser window, then going back here and trying it again makes it happen.
Just a data point.

Closing because a webkit bug has been made, and there's nothing more to be done on Voyager's end. Also the native app is not affected :)
