Signal like disappearing messages
It would be nice to add a CSS timer icon for message. If message has an attribute e.g. duration in seconds it will trigger a countdown animation. Something similar to signal's disappearing messages: https://support.signal.org/hc/en-us/articles/360007320771-Set-and-manage-disappearing-messages
I would be able to add an option in room-action with custom modal for choosing duration time. I am not really sure what is the best way to implement logic behind deleting messages from UI after countdown is at zero. I also haven't tried adding custom system message. Here it would be nice to show user that disappearing messages are on and the specified period.
It can be a nice addition. I'll consider it for later. If more people are interested in this feature, please upvote the comment above.
