Netplay throws JSON parse exception

Loading the Netplay URL for this game throws an exception when parsing the global JSON (which is an empty string) https://walexander.github.io/1864-year-of-decision/1864.html

Netplay for this game was working prior to this PR being merged last week.

The game at your link seems to work fine for me. What web browser are you using?

I also couldn't reproduce this in Firefox. Please try building from the latest main branch now that #780 got merged and see if that fixes it for you.
