I do think I used `brew` to install, but I don't remember a prompt. But I did have a `conf` file, so maybe there was a bug during install that...

Same issue here, can't figure out how to make it work. I tried to add `skip-checks: true` (see [here](https://docs.github.com/en/free-pro-team@latest/github/collaborating-with-issues-and-pull-requests/about-status-checks)) to the commit I'm creating on the branch, to no avail
