New Machine requirement: Amazon Linux 2023 (Docker Static)

I need to request a new machine:

  • New machine operating system (e.g. linux/windows/macos/solaris/aix): Amazon Linux 2023
  • New machine architecture (e.g. x64/aarch32/arm32/ppc64/ppc64le/sparc): x64 and aarch64
  • Provider (leave blank if it does not matter):
  • Desired usage: Run testing on Amazon Linux 2023 which is not directly based on any of the other distributions which we currently test on in order to validate that we work well on the platform prior to adding it as a valid RPM install option in https://github.com/adoptium/installer/issues/657
  • Any unusual specification/setup required:
  • How many of them are required: 1 per architecture

Please explain what this machine is needed for: As per "desired usage" above

docker pull amazonlinux:2023 will give you the upstream linux we can base on. I'd expect it's similar enough to Fedora that the dockerfile for that should pretty much be ok with the name changed :-)
