Can tests on parameters (other than limit) still use the limit parameter to reduce data transfer?

Some tests (such as XAPI-00153) check that certain functionality works despite the parameter used, and therefore has a test for each individual parameter. In other words if we are testing the behavior of such and such with the agent parameter - only use the agent parameter. In order to reduce the amount of data transferred, should each test like this be able to use the limit parameter as well?
