Based on the leaps and bounds progress in the ZK space, I'm heavily leaning towards just going directly to validity proofs and skip fraud proofs for the state machine.
@Voxelot is there general consensus to go forward with this change?

The mint transaction type alone is necessary but not sufficient to specify the coinbase transaction.
Hmmm. Fee markets don't necessarily have to be played out entirely in-protocol. Ultimately, it's up to the block producers how they calculate priority.
You need to do it each time.
