Smooth animations for doors opening and closing

Would it be possible to animate the rotation/slide for doors?

My goal is for everything in my floorplan to have smooth transitions between states, and the first thing I noticed is that doors snap open and shut instantly instead of smoothly animating. I'd like the same for all my lights and covers (garage door and curtains), etc.

Is this possible now, or would it be difficult to implement this?
