Ratings do not seem to be user specific

Open beedaddy opened this issue 1 month ago • 2 comments

What happened?
When user A rates a book, the stars appear for user B, too. User B only can delete/overwrite the rating. Can anyone confirm this? Shouldn't the ratings be user-specific?

How can we see it happen?
Steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Login as user A. Rate a book with some stars.
  2. Login as user B and open the book details.
  3. The stars from user A appear for user B, too.

What did you expect to happen?
Ratings should be user independent.

About your setup:

  • Booklore version 1.10.0
  • OS: Linux
  • Browser: Brave
  • Installation: Podman Quadlets/Pod

Can anyone confirm the issue?

I can confirm on v1.10.0 via docker.

I didn't notice that 1.11 and 1.12 came out, so I'm going to pull them...

Also does it on v1.12.0 via docker.

Confirmed in #1762. Personal rating is a property of the book's metadata I guess. #1762 is a Feature Request to pull personal ratings outside the metadata

Fixed with #1820
