Simplicity in creation

While, you have sold me on the the software itself, I have tried creating a presentation and frankly it left me wanting. I am not a designer in an sense of the word and to create a presentation seemed a daunting task. Also I was expecting to have a ring with a series of rings, not a blank canvas. Perhaps a video of creation would be helpful.
