Use of this project in dotfiles (GPLv3)

As this project is GPLv3, does it mean that if I include this work in my dotfiles, they should be licensed under the GPLv3? (due to propagation)

I would like my dots to be MIT/BSD so that anyone can use my work without having themselves to conform to a license that I chose, so I'm checking that out before pushing my changes x) Thanks!
