Nova on Ubuntu 16.04

Open SMAPPER opened this issue 8 years ago • 3 comments

I have a fresh install of Ubuntu 16.04 and ADHD. However, I cannot get nova quasar to start. It fails with:

/opt/nova/Quasar/quasar: line 7: cd: /usr/share/nova/sharedFiles/Quasar: no such file or directory Starting quasar with the forever daemon /opt/nova/Quasar/quasar: line 22: forever: command not found

Is Nova not compatible with the latest release of ADHD?

The original Nova code was only compatible with Ubuntu 12.04 and we had issues installing it on 16.04 as well. I can look into this again because I'd like to see Nova working as well.

Any updates on this? I'd love to see Nova in action but haven't been able to run it standalone or via ADHD.

After reading this comment from someone who used to work for the company who wrote Nova and Honeyd, it sounds like the internal DataSoft folks had possibly given up updating the project since I haven't seen anything in a few years.

One hope of resurrecting this might be to use an Ubuntu 12.04 Docker image. I attempted it at one point but I could give it another shot sometime.
