Playback on Android TV stuck on spinning wheel

Since 2 days the vtmgo addon keeps showing the spinning wheel when starting a playback stream, without error message. Live streams are working. The problem occurs with Kodi 19.3 on a Android TV (version 11) with the latest vtmgo addon (version 1.4.2). No problem on mij Windows computer. I already tried a cache clear and a cold start of the TV, but this didn't solve the problem.
