Blinking cannot be disabled

Am I missing something or can blinking not be disabled with this package?

I tried the cursor-blink-interval package to no avail and in styles.less this usual fix (for the built-in atom cursor) also doesn't work:

atom-text-editor .cursor
  { opacity: 1 !important }

My apologies if I'm missing something obvious and many thanks for the great package. Having a border-only rectangular cursor is excellent!
