Open kasimir24 opened this issue 8 years ago • 5 comments

If I set the meta_title and / or meta_description with [name] - [store], I get in the source "name" and "storeview". Magento 1.9.3.1, store view - german and english How can the error be turned off?

Is this on product or category pages? Can you screenshot what you're getting so I can be 100% of the problem?

This error occurs both on the category side and on the product side. I had previously used a third party SEO extension. This is probably due to incorrect texts. Neither Cache nor Reindex, nor Server restart have removed these entries. I send some screenshots and hope for help. store fehler.pdf category.pdf category quelltext.pdf product.pdf product quelltext.pdf

@kasimir24 looking at your screenshots it looks like the functionality is working as expected, I assume that the store view name is 'german' and the category and product names seem to be set correctly. What are you expecting to see?

Hello, As you can see from the screenshots, [store] should be displayed. However, "store view" is output. store = eVENDOR Shop store view = german

Oh ok I understand now. The code is currently configured to get the store view, not the store. That's done deliberately as the 'Store' isn't always viewed as an entity but rather the basis for the product catalogue.

We can easily make an update so that the store name is retrievable as well. I'll put this as an enhancement.
