Some URLs ending in .gif isn't images (eg. wikipedia images)

Click the Newton's cradle GIF in this wikipedia article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animated_gif#Animated_GIF

Maybe send a HEAD request to the images to check if the mime-type is image/gif.
