Do you mean that if the project itself has an application icon for the project, show that icon in the recent projects list next to the project's name?

No, just default .pld icons.

The benefit to a developer would be to get association that project name in this list actually refers to a project .pld file which has the same icon in Tracker since this is not immediately obvious.

Of course it could be enhanced even further to show real icon for a specific project.
