Incompatibility with Thunderbird v. 68.4.1 (latest one?)

I used this extension in Thunderbird for quick advice about R-code via e-mail, but since the last versions of Thunderbird this tool appears as incompatible. I hope, an update is on the TODO-list since I'm missing this extension a lot.

It works only if I remove, before installing, the old extension.

Unfortunately this didn't work: even after unistalling and reinstalling the extension I don't see the text formatted (as in image previoulsy submitted).
And when I open the markdown preferences I get this error message:
It looks like you are running an older version of Thunderird. Open the Markdown Here Options via the message window Tools menu

Or rather it works only with the email's body, not, as in the past, with the tasks.

I installed it on Postbox 7.0.30 and it seems to work fine.

Same here on TB 78.4.0
