(How) can one connect a SD card to the neotrellis m4 board?

I googled a while for this, but could not find a conclusive answer. In the seeed forum people were wondering why no SPI pins are broken out on this board. Now I hope there may still be the option to solder some wires to the board myself in order to connect a (SPI) SD card reader.. Any hints/info on that?
