Breaking changes

Go 1.21 will be removed and the latest version, 1.24, will be added and set as the default on 2025-06-13 for Windows and Ubuntu 22 & 24 images.

Target date

Image deployment will start on 2025-06-09 and will take 2-3 days.

The motivation for the changes

As of the software support policy only 3 latest versions of Go are supported.

Possible impact

Go 1.24.x version will be set as default for Ubuntu 22 & 24
