[GitHub] APK releases?
Since you are unwilling to distribute the package through F-Droid, have you considered distributing OnlineGo through GitHub itself? As in distributing it by providing built APK's alongside the shared source-code under Pre-release?

Hey @Icy-Thought , I'll consider it. But could you please help me understand why would that be useful?
I imagine that could be useful only for people that don't have google services on their phones (such as some Chinese people). But then, even if deployed through GitHub, the app would still be heavily dependent on google play services, so many things will likely not work. Most notably, I'm not sure notifications would work correctly, and if I manage to convince Anoek to add push-notifications support to OGS they will stop working completely.
It could be useful for stable releases on Google Play, while maintaining Pre-release and also stable on GitHub.
Otherwise I see no reason for this change after becoming aware of the Google Play services dependence of this application.

😢I am the one who really need APK(yes, Chinese😂), even though notifications can not work...
Implemented. Starting today, releases will be available at https://github.com/acristescu/OnlineGo/releases too. Please test and let me know if that works for you.
Pretty good, it works well for me. 👍
@acristescu You are awesome! Thank you so much for putting the time and effort into implementing this!
