Is this algorithm sensitive to sampling rate?

It seems that the default input sampling rate of this algorithm is 44100. If the sampling rate is 16000, will it hurt?

Judging by the description of how it works, I'd assume not because it extracts the notes and uses quite a low sample rate internally

In the case of Chromaprint, the input audio is converted to the sampling rate 11025 Hz and the frame size is 4096 (0.371 s) with 2/3 overlap
