@aconrad, @marvin1991, @epenet, @janhybs Need a heads-up here, is rather complicated to implement. Would be great to have directions, just showing interest in having this, test files et cetera...

Very cool, thank you @gro1m! I had started a draft of the merge command a while ago but I ran out of time and didn't make it as far as you did. I'll try to take a look at this PR more in-depth this week.
