Not working when chaning to french alphabet

Open canatella opened this issue 14 years ago • 2 comments

When changing to any of the two french alphabet, the first time I try to input something I see training dasher and then a crash. The next time I see training dasher with numbers and the a blank block where dasher should appear.

This is on android 2.2 on a HTC Legend.

Hmmm. Not sure exactly what's going on here, but it now seems to get stuck on my Nexus after upgrading to 2.3 - the fancy new garbage collector seems to get stuck in some kind of loop, I'm sure it was fine for me before!

It's not a very great workaround but I've truncated each of the training texts down to 400k, as some of them (inc. French) were substantially longer than that, and I at least have no problems now. (Of course, the prediction won't be as good! But you can always put more training text in yourself, in /sdcard/dasher, if your handset/OS allows wrt. memory!)...

HTH - Let me know if you're still having trouble (and if so, an "adb -d logcat" would be fantastic...) Alan
