New Xiaomi Router R4A Gigabit made at 2024/10
I got a XIAOMI R4A Gigabit SKU: DVB4397CN manufacture date 2024/10, ordered from china. In the MiWIfI web interface says Firmware Version 1.0.34 No luck with OpenWRTInvasion. I opened the case, the board marks MTO-WRMD05 (no Mi marking anywhere), the CMOS marks DM AY2424 25Q128SIG ENG836, the central chip is RTL8367RB (i suppose it servers the switching), the 2.4Ghz side has a RTL8197FH ( the CPU?) and the 5Ghz side has a RTL8812FR.
The board is shielded by a big metal plate , very solid construction. I wish someone finds a way to openwrt it... or at least a way to load a global firmware so the interface turns to English.
On second thought, I am afraid this router I got might be a knock off and not real Xiaomi as there is no mention of this firmware version (1.0.34) anywhere in Xiaomi forums. (I am hesitant to use it as I'm afraid it might carry some kind of back door.) The funny thing is that it already runs luci...
