This should really be merged, the library is broken for py3.11 and 3.12 without it!
I wonder if we should do enhancements like looking for the substring "string literal" and then just define that term if it's found? Better than trying to regex for exact...

We ended up upgrading to 17. We should update the docker images accordingly. They might already be upgraded, I'm not sure.
