Headless mode
For batch runs, optimized background visualization, stuff.
I am also interested in this feature (Windows).
I'm also interested in a headless mode (OSX 10.11.5)
I am also interested in this headless mode. (Windows Phone)
Plus one for headless mode here. (Windows and/or Linux)
What is headless mode? Define headless mode
Being able to render a video without outputting to a window. This would make scripting these videos a lot easier and I imagine performance would increase as well.
Also, this would make it server-friendly.

Then that is what I think I needed to. I am trying to get gource to trail -f --sync Like I am doing live with logistia live on YouTube. Here watch and tell me if I can do this with gource. https://youtu.be/51VIyGz0Fc4
trail -f access.log | gource --sync
Just adding a note to show that this issue is still alive.
Headless (no screen render) mode is paradoxically important to people who want to render videos. When rendering a video I want the job to complete as quickly as possible and don't need to see the intermediate steps. It's also the sort of thing which might be run as part of an automated system.
