Meat Probe

Open MTBrewer opened this issue 4 years ago • 5 comments

Hi, I've been working on this build but can't seem to get the meat probe to read anything. I'm assuming you wired it with the voltage divider using a resistor. I wired one side of the probe to the 3.3V pin, then a second wire from GND to the resistor, then to the opposite side of the probe, then a third wire from pin A7 to the probe side of the resistor. For some reason I can't get the reading to show up, just shows 0.00C.
If I check resistance across the two leads of the probe the resistance drops as the temperature goes up. Any ideas? Thanks! 20200610_163348

Hi did you find a solution for the probe, also mine sign 0

I didn't. I haven't had a chance to look at it lately. I'm curious if Abuharsky is using a meat probe like I'm trying to use or a different probe with a Max6675.

Iam sorry, I forgot about reference voltage wire, you need to connect 3.3v pin to AREF pin on your shield board

On image below green wire on left connected to AREF pin, on right - to 3.3v pin

What kind of resistor I need for probe?
