Connecting to socket from python

Hi , i am not sure that this is the place to ask this , but i could not find info about the issue , so i will try here .

I am running a Bottle server with GeventSocketIO back end , everything works fine for me , but i need to connect to this socket from another python script .

can i do it using python websocket library ? i couldn't get it to work ... can you point me please in some direction ?
