cannot solve ERROR "wrong type argument: stringp, nill"

the command org-download-screenshot doesn't work and generates the error above. I'm on ubuntu 20.04, emacs 26.3. It never gave me any problems on my Manjaro installation, so maybe I'm missing some package?
