UI freezes when loading large pictures

The UI becomes completely unresponsive for a while whenever a large picture is selected using the file provider. The UI only becomes responsive again after the preview has been loaded.

For reproduction purposes, the image I had issues with was a 7680x3840, ~25MB PNG file.

Was able to recreate this issue with a similar sized png. Working on this

got something very similar to this in the clipboard module, where it freezes for a few seconds while loading images

There is a similar issue with a clipboard history getting too long/an entry being too long freezing the app and the system
