search: timeout?
while searching I always get "no result" with mpdroid, other clients work, it seems to be related to a timeout. Searching with mpc on the server takes about 8-10s but works and I get the expected results.
Since mpdroid is definitly the best app its a little bit disappointing...
BTW: feature request: would be nice to have a kind of sleeping timer that mpd is paused after a period of time...
Is my db to big?

mpdroid is 1.07.2(54), installation breaks with the 1.08-betas on my phone. thanks for all you did, waiting for the next release... Greetings, ede
I have the same issue and it is definitively due to a timeout. I would propose to add in the preference the timeout to use with a default value of it's current value (5 seconds) I have done a local patch and it works. I did not yet add that as a preference. If you feel it is a good idea, I can finalize my change. Let me know
Regards, Philippe
Hi there,
Thanks for the offer, but the project is somewhat dead, as I don't have the time to maintain it (I don't even use mpd anymore). Mpdroid doesn't even build with a modern toolchain, and the difference between master and develop is huge that I don't know if forks should start from a branch or the other
You're welcome to send a patch, but I wouldn't want you to waste time on something I'm not sure I'll ever merge
Thanks again,
Thank you for your quick answer. In that case I will keep my local fix, without adding anything in preferences, unless someone ask explicitly for it
