I'm wondering if there's ABI caching issues at play here, or potentially old versions in use. With Anchor Desktop 1.3.0 the request appears to load alright. 

There should be a release soon, we're waiting on approval from Google - after which I believe it should work there as well!

Notes on this: the balances reducer is currently using a key/value pair of symbol/value for tracking. We will need to update that structure to be smarter and potentially use `contract::symbol`...

Good call. I think I know exactly where you're asking for it to be, and I think it'd help me out in my day to day usage too.
