I've searched the issues first and found #104 which is precisely what I want. However, it got somewhat merged with #106 - I'm not sure if it's the same thing. I wouldn't know as I don't use the minimap either. Anyways, I'm not sure if there's been progress there.
Could you be so kind and add this setting? It is marking the scrollbar with the better-comment color of that line. It would be great to quickly know where are the reminders, the TODOs, and whatnot. It's the small big thing your addon needs :P

When you have SCM notifications in the scroll bar won't comments clutter it massively? The greens and reds would override the SCM blocks and it could be a real mess?
I don't have anything from SCM in the scroll bar, and I don't think I should use the scrollbar for that (subjective, I know).
Maybe a checkbox to enable or disable for those who would have a mess?
I see this issue has been inactive for quite some time, but I was looking for the same thing. I'm not sure if this is something that's changed since the issue was filed or not, but in my VSCode environment, the SCM markings are on the left side of the scroll bar and the error/highlight markers are on the right side:
An option to have TODOs and other highlighted comments on the right with problems would be super useful. I'm considering writing a PR for another feature I was hoping for as well, so if I do get around to it, I can try and see how hard it'd be to make this an option as well and submit it as another PR.
Maybe this has changed since I last looked. I'll have to investigate again. Thanks for the info!
