Instructions for general Linux build

Hi, Let me start by saying I do really like the effort you’ve put in developing such a nice solution.

I do however have only one RPI 3b+. Even second handed they are pretty expensive, later models are more easy to get and more powerful.

Because there is another issue about maybe using more powerful codecs in the future, I would like to test by using a Linux laptop on one side, a pi on the other.

Do you maybe have some instructions on how to get your solution running on generic Linux machines? That would allow me to test while finding a b3+
