BT

Hi, great project, Well done! It would be nice to have a BT connection with a upstream device. Since the RBP 3 has a internal BT circuit, can we use it for data upstream?

Cheers!

Interesting idea! At the moment I don't have bluetooth support built into the kernel or OS, but it should be theoretically possible to add, as you say. Would the use case be for connecting something like a bluetooth headset, or are you thinking that the pi itself should act like a headset to connect to some other audio receiver?

The idea is to connect a mobile device (like a CB or smartphone)over BT to the pi. So the pi will act like a carkit. Because we use only the up/down stream on BT(encrypted data)there is no possibility to eavesdrop on BT.

OK thanks for clarifying. I don't know what sort of bluetooth capabilities are built into the linux environment I'm using. Might be worth investigating

Is works like a charm! Can you add a botton and a LED, on one of the GPIO pins to enable/disable encryption?
