Is it possible to intergrate the codec with RPITX? Then you need only one usb soundcard. For RX add a RTL-SDR device. If this works then the pi zero can be used as secure qrp tranciever.

I'm not very familiar with the RPITX project, but probably the easiest way to do it would be to use the existing FreeDV mode the project appears to support and modify it to use my forked version of codec2/FreeDV with the encryption; and have a way of specifying key/keys in the RPITX UI that could be passed into/used by codec2.

In theory this is possible, though it would likely require a fork of RPITX to use my codec2 fork.

The alternative would be to build the SDR support into my software platform, which would be quite a bit of duplicated effort in building the UI for the SDR control
