Ability to check if a new translation(.po) is available and update to that

Requesting this because currently, the .pot file is updated once every release. I can translate that no problem but the users won't get the new translations until the next release by which time there might be a new .pot file with new strings. Could there be a way for the add-on (most preferably silently) to check whether a new version of your locale's .po is available and update to that? Thanks and keep up the great work!
